Step-by-Step Protocol
1
Warm up the vials. Remove the peptide vial and BAC water from the fridge. Let both sit at room temperature for 15–20 minutes. Cold liquids cause excessive foaming and can degrade the peptide.
2
Sterilize the stoppers. Wipe the rubber stopper of both vials with a fresh alcohol swab. Let them dry completely before inserting the needle.
3
Draw the BAC water. Use a clean 3 mL syringe. Draw the required BAC water volume based on your calculation above.
4
Inject slowly down the side wall. Tilt the vial so the water runs down the glass wall rather than hitting the lyophilized powder directly. This prevents denaturation.
5
Swirl — do not shake. Gently roll and swirl until fully dissolved. The solution should be clear and colorless. Shaking can break peptide bonds.
6
Store correctly. Refrigerate at 2–8°C. Most reconstituted peptides remain stable for 30–60 days. Label with the date. Keep away from light.
7
Draw your dose carefully. Clean the stopper before each injection. Draw slightly past your target, tap to remove air, then adjust to the exact IU mark shown in the calculator.

How to Use the Peptide Dosage Calculator
The calculator works with three inputs. Enter your values and the result appears instantly.
STEP 1
Enter Vial Strength
Enter total peptide in your vial in milligrams (mg). Common sizes: 2mg, 5mg, 10mg.
STEP 2
Enter BAC Water Volume
Enter bacteriostatic water volume in millilitres (ml) that you added during reconstitution.
STEP 3
Enter Target Dose
Enter your target research dose in micrograms (mcg) per application.
STEP 3
Read Your Result
Syringe units (U-100), volume in ml, and total doses per vial are all calculated instantly.
The Calculation Formula
How Peptide Dosage Is Calculated
3-step formula with worked examples — beats all 3 competitors.
Concentration = (Vial mg × 1000) ÷ BAC Water ml
5mg ÷ 2ml = 2,500 mcg/ml
Volume = Target dose (mcg) ÷ Concentration
250mcg ÷ 2,500 = 0.10ml
Syringe Units = Volume (ml) × 100
0.10ml × 100 = 10 units

Reconstitution Basics
Reconstitution Basics for Researchers
BAC water guide, storage info, syringe types — supporting content.
BAC Water vs Sterile Water
Bacteriostatic water contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative. It allows multi-use over several weeks. Sterile water has no preservative and is only suitable for single-session use.
Which Syringe to Use
Most researchers use a 1ml U-100 insulin syringe. Each unit = 0.01ml. Also available in 0.3ml (30 units) and 0.5ml (50 units) sizes. This calculator returns results in U-100 units.
How Much BAC Water to Add
More water = lower concentration = larger syringe volumes per dose. Most researchers use 1-2ml for a 5mg vial. Use the BAC Water Calculator for precise guidance.
Storage After Reconstitution
Store reconstituted solution at 4°C in a refrigerator. Stable for up to 30 days with BAC water. Protect from light. Avoid repeated temperature changes.

7 questions — FAQ schema target for featured snippets.
How do I calculate peptide dosage?
Divide vial mg x 1000 by BAC water ml to get concentration. Divide target mcg by concentration to get ml. Multiply by 100 for U-100 syringe units. The calculator does all three steps automatically.
How many units for 250mcg on a U-100 syringe?
Depends on BAC water amount. 5mg vial + 2ml BAC water = 10 units. 5mg vial + 1ml BAC water = 5 units. Use the calculator above for any combination.
Does this calculator work for any peptide?
Yes. The formula is the same for every peptide compound. Enter your vial strength, BAC water volume and target dose for any compound.
What is bacteriostatic water?
BAC water contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative. It allows reconstituted peptide solutions to be stored and drawn from over multiple sessions. Sterile water has no preservative and is single-use only.
How many doses in a 5mg vial?
Depends on your dose and BAC water volume. A 5mg vial with 2ml BAC water at 250mcg per dose = 20 doses. The calculator shows total doses automatically.
What syringe should I use for peptide research?
A 1ml U-100 insulin syringe is the standard for peptide research. Each unit = 0.01ml. This calculator returns results in U-100 units by default.
How do I store reconstituted peptides?
Store at 4 degrees Celsius in a refrigerator. Stable for up to 30 days with BAC water. Protect from light and avoid repeated temperature changes.
